Sonic Scholars is a 501(c)(3) organization and was founded by Vivian Kao. After being diagnosed with Pendred Syndrome at the age of 3, Vivian has been to countless audiologist visits. Over time, Vivian realized the financial weight of the appointments and the expensive price tag of her hearing aids; she realized how accessibility to hearing healthcare is heavily limited for many.

Sonic Scholars aims to help hard-of-hearing individuals receive the care and service for their hearing.
